Bonnie and Clyde’s criminal spree came to a tragic end in May 1934 when law enforcement ambushed them near Bienville Parish, Louisiana. The Ford V8 Sedan, painted in a drab gray to help them evade capture, became the setting for their fateful demise. The car was riddled with bullet holes, serving as a grim testament to their violent end.

VW Van Wiper Blades

Over a period of time, VW Van Wiper Blades will begin to wear. When this wear starts to happen to VW Wiper Blades you may start to notice smearing, juddering or even just poor performance clearing the screen. To ensure you can have a pleasurable driving experience and ensure the safety of you and other drivers it is important to make sure that genuine VW wiper blades are changed regularly in pairs. At VW Van Parts Direct we supply genuine sets of Front Wiper Blades, and individual Rear Wiper Blades all sourced directly from VW UK.

How often should you change your VW Van Wiper Blades?

We would recommend that Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle wiper blades are changed at least every 12 months depending on the number of miles that you drive each year and the amount of UV light from the sun they are exposed to. VW Windshield Wipers are constructed from rubber which degrades over time, with use and from UV exposure. Over time the rubber on the windscreen wipers will become harder and more brittle which can cause cracks, tears and stiffness to the blade. This will result in poorer performance from your wiper blade.

Why should I buy OEM / Genuine Wiper Blades?

From many years working with VW, in our experience, there is nothing better than genuine (OEM) wiper blades. They simply work better than the after-market, non-genuine options. OEM Wiper Blades were designed to work specifically with your exact windscreen, this means a spring that was designed to keep the wiper pressed to your windscreen at exactly the right pressure. The composition of the rubber is of a higher quality which means the wipers will last longer and you do not need to struggle with adaptors which are required for many aftermarket wiper-blades.

Save money with Wiper Blades from VW Van Parts Direct:

VW Transporter T6.1 Wiper Blade Set – Only £38.77

VW Van Brakes

Genuine VW Van Brake Discs

There are several warning signs to look out for when checking the VW Van brake discs. First and foremost your VW Brake Discs should be regularly checked every 7,500 miles. However, if your car pulls to one side when braking, your brakes start to squeal or you feel the brake pedal flutter then you should get your brakes looked at immediately.

If upon inspection the brake discs are found to be cracked, lipped or scored then it is always advisable that they are changed. If the brake pads are low then this can cause your VW Brake Discs to become scored or lipped. Once this happens, you will have to change your VW Brake Pads & Discs at the same time.

Should you have had your VW Brake Discs and Pads changed at the same time, it is important to remember that it will take approximately 200 miles of careful driving for your VW brake discs and pads to bed in properly; this will ensure a longer life for your genuine VW Brake Pads and Discs.

Power and performance

The ABT e-Transporter 6.1’s electric drivetrain doesn’t compromise on power. The standard 83kW electric motor packs 200 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 17.4 seconds. Built to the high standards of quality you’ve come to expect from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, the motor is lighter, quieter and smoother to drive than ever before. Plus, the ABT e-Transporter 6.1’s payload is not compromised, as the compact batteries are fitted below the load area. We’re so confident in the quality of the ABT e-Transporter 6.1, that the high voltage battery comes with eight years or 100,000 miles warranty (whichever is soonest) on all material or manufacturing defects.

Government Plug In Vehicle grant

The ABT e-Transporter 6.1 currently qualifies for the Plug In Vehicle grant3, offered by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) to promote the purchase of ultra-low emission vehicles.

The £8,000 grant has already been deducted from the recommended ‘on the road’ price shown (and therefore the recommended ‘on the road’ price will increase in the event that grant funding is withdrawn, or eligibility for the grant or the grant amount changes, for any reason).

Your local Van Centre will submit the details of your order online in order to claim the grant funding. The grant is subject to full T&Cs and eligibility requirements

Built for your business

With a high load capacity and a wide range of equipment as standard, the ABT e-Transporter 6.1 is built with your business in mind. Driving the ABT e-Transporter 6.1 means zero road tax (VED) and lower running and servicing costs, saving you and your business money. Plus, because the ABT e-Transporter 6.1 is zero-emissions whilst driving, it’s also exempt from low emission zone charges, including the London Congestion Charge. The government now offers grants that can lower the sale price of your electric vehicle and even cut the cost of installing at-home charging stations. You can take advantage of these money-saving initiatives that make going green more affordable as well as practical.
